QUITO (Xinhua) -- Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa on Thursday met with an Iranian mission interested in investing in Ecuador’s hydro-electricity projects.

They discussed cooperation on Coca-Codo-Sincalire, the biggest hydropower project in Ecuador.
Iran is experienced in many energy and road construction projects undertaken by Ecuador, Correa said while meeting the mission led by Iranian Deputy Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian.
Iran is ready to provide technologies “in all the areas” needed by the Ecuadorian government and it also plans to help Ecuador build a thermoelectricity plant in cooperation with the state-owned energy firm PetroEcuador, Chitchian said.
